Good for health, bad for education

This post will contain, as is tradition, fantastic fantasy art. It will also communicate a summons to adventure and, more importantly the MEANS the FORMULA for proper adventure. It´s all well and good, to yearn for adventure, for growth and the beckoning horizon, but that yearning is of small worth if it fails to leads us to the wilds, it should motivate us to brave the wilderness in quest for riches and expansion.
That said, THE WILDS are harder to come by these days, easier to miss. This post aims to solve that issue and elucidate the path one should take when the thirst for adventure becomes impossible to ignore.
I will also talk a bit about Akira, a subject deeply related.
I, like many, love Katsuhiro Otomo´s spectacular opus, AKIRA.
I love it to pieces, I love it to death.
I will, no doubt, love it up until the very moment of my death. I will love it as I die, and my spirit, if it persists in any way, will likely hold on to that love.
You know what I´m talking about right? You KNOW what "AKIRA" and "Katsuhiro Otomo" are, surely. If you don´t then you my friend, are in for a TREAT... look that shit up!
It is great, it´s so great and cool... and I love STEAMBOY... AKIRA´s younger brother, just as much if not more. I think it is, in fact, the superior film. The fact that nobody will agree with me on that point proves, I feel, that nobody understands or cares about the intent behind Otomo sensei´s wondrous works.
What a shame.
Everyone mostly cares about how cool Kaneda looks IN his red duds, ON his red bike... I mean, he does look really awesome, you won´t hear me contest THAT. Ray Steam though, for my money, looks just as awesome on his flying contraption.

I´m talking about them because, recently, I modelled and arranged some figures to put together a (hopefully) fun homage to one of AKIRA´s posters. The one with Kaneda walking towards his bike, you´ve seen it. You can CLICK the image below to enjoy it in all its HD glory.

In my picture, it is R2-R (Arthur´s super-self) that is walking towards an inverted cross, St. Peter´s cross, a symbol that is very important for that character (he wears a chain with it around his neck at all times). He actually manifested that chain, along with his clothes, when the materialized into Hell. Readers of my work are familiar with all this.
I promised I would talk about the FORMULA FOR ADVENTURE at the start of this blog-post.
Adventure is about the unknown, about expansion, growth, danger, movement. Adventure is similar to sport; an aristocratic, aggressive pursuit.
To get an adventure, to grow, you must seek your limits, you must seek the frontiers of your being, the places you are most afraid, most unsure of. It´s the same thing as with sport: progress only comes if you reach failure.
In other words, no pain, no gain, no risk, no adventure, no GROWTH.
I want to provide proper adventure for my readers. Not the RECORD of an adventure, not the vicarious experience of adventure, but a true epic journey to embark upon, one able to scar, able to fundamentally change who and what you are. Very much in the tradition of Otomo´s amazing creations.

Which is why INHELL, like the rest of my works, tackles the idea that governs our world. The real taboo, the limit that shackles us to a drowning regime.
The notion of "the fallen world" the notion of SIN.
If you agree with the sentence "NOTHING IS PERFECT" then you, my friend are a nihilist.
Sad but true.
The dual assertion that, since "nothing" IS perfect, then "no thing" can be, agreeing with it makes you a nihilist; a worshiper of death and nothingness. Hard to believe huh? But you hold in your belly the very same concept that animated the socialists in Germany and China and Cambodia. You are, at heart, one of them.
You state, with that phrase, the complete Platonic/Christian/nihilist formula. In one gesture you denigrate that which is by comparing it to that which, by definition, is-not. Complete incoherent lunacy and yet, this is has been to a very large extent the basis for our civilization for the last 2000+ years.
Beyond this mistake, a great sea awaits, a great adventure awaits, beyond "the moral" beyond the "world of shadows" into the REAL WORLD, join me, Johnny, Christine, Arthur, Barbie, Dexter and Willow (along with, of course, Boogie the clown) in a journey towards reality, towards coherence, away from the taboos that make a slave out of you.
Two quotes to end this blog-post, one from Howard, one from Fred:
That cult would never die till the stars came right again, and the secret priests would take great Cthulhu from His tomb to revive His subjects and resume His rule of earth. The time would be easy to know, for then mankind would have become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and reveling in joy. Then the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom. Meanwhile the cult, by appropriate rites, must keep alive the memory of those ancient ways and shadow forth the prophecy of their return.

Indeed, at hearing the news that 'the old god is dead', we philosophers and free spirits feel illuminated by a new dawn; our heart overflows with gratitude, amazement, forebodings, expectation - finally the horizon seems clear again, even if not bright; finally our ships may set out again, set out to face any danger; every daring of the lover of knowledge is allowed again; the sea, our sea, lies open again; maybe there has never been such an open sea...
